About BonusCompass

Last updated July 7, 2026

This site is built and run by one person — an engineer in Ohio who churns bank bonuses and got tired of the way this data lives everywhere and nowhere: buried in forum threads, pasted into spreadsheets, half-expired by the time you read it.

Bank bonuses are one of the few genuinely good deals in personal finance — hundreds of dollars for opening an account and following instructions carefully. The catch is the instructions: every bank words them differently, the deadlines interact, and the fine print details that matter most (does an ACH count as a direct deposit? when can I get this bonus again?) are exactly the ones nobody publishes in a standard form.

So this site does three things, and tries to do them extremely well: it standardizes every offer into the same set of fields, it re-verifies each one on a 7-day cycle, and it gives you a tracker that remembers your deadlines and tells you when you're eligible to churn a bank again.

Contact

Corrections, data points, bug reports, bank rules you know that we don't — all welcome: kwakuoyeboah@gmail.com. Error reports get priority; the data being right is the whole point.

The obligatory disclaimer

Nothing here is financial, legal, or tax advice. Bank bonuses are taxable income. Verify every term with the bank before opening an account — see how we make money for our incentives, spelled out.
